BA Peak & Off-Peak Avios Calendar 2026

Every British Airways peak date in 2026, month by month. Any date not listed as peak is off-peak — and off-peak reward flights cost fewer Avios, so a little flexibility can save you thousands of points.

British Airways prices reward flights on a fixed, published calendar of peak and off-peak dates. Peak days cost more Avios; off-peak days cost fewer. The dates are set by the operating airline and roughly a third of 2026 is peak — so knowing the calendar is one of the simplest ways to stretch your Avios further.

2026 peak dates, month by month

The dates below are the peak days for British Airways–operated reward flights in 2026. Every date not listed here is off-peak and costs fewer Avios. Roughly a third of the year is peak, concentrated around school holidays and the festive season.

Read the table as: these dates are peak, everything else is off-peak. Where a trip straddles both, BA prices each flight by its own departure date — so an off-peak outbound can pair with a peak return.

How peak and off-peak pricing works

  • The operating airline sets the calendar. Pricing follows the airline flying the aircraft, not the site you book on. An Iberia-operated flight booked via BA uses the Iberia calendar.
  • Most partners are peak year-round. American Airlines, Cathay Pacific and most other oneworld partners are charged at peak rates whenever booked through BA. Qatar Airways and Finnair use their own separate reward pricing.
  • Off-peak savings are biggest up front. The Avios gap between peak and off-peak grows with cabin and distance — long-haul business class is where flexibility pays off most. See the exact gaps in our peak vs off-peak chart.

2027 outlook

As of September 2026, British Airways has not published a full 2027 peak/off-peak calendar — it usually appears early in the year. Until it does, the safest planning approach is to treat the 2027 school-holiday, half-term and bank-holiday periods as likely peak, using the 2026 pattern above as a template. We will publish the confirmed 2027 dates here as soon as BA releases them.

Dates can be adjusted by BA from time to time. Always confirm the price shown at the point of booking. This is general information, not financial advice.
